
KNOW YOUR ONIONS - Serves 2
Onion and Sage with Premium Cous Cous
Ingredients
- 15g (˝ oz) butter
- ˝ red onion (chopped)
- 2.5ml (˝ tsp) dried sage
- ˝ vegetable stock cube
- 1 x 125g sachet Ainsley Harriott Premium Cous Cous
- 175ml (1 small teacup) boiling water
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Melt butter in a medium sized pan.
Sauté the onion and sage for 5 minutes.
Dissolve the ˝ stock cube in the boiling water then add the stock and the Ainsley Harriott Premium Cous Cous to the onions.
Stir well whilst bringing back to the boil.
Remove from heat, cover and leave for 5-7 minutes until the liquid has been absorbed.
Separate grains of Ainsley Hariott Premium Cous Cous with a fork; if desired, re-heat over a low heat for 1-2 minutes whilst separating the grains with a fork.
Season to taste before serving.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Accompaniment to grilled pork chops and roasted vegetables.
