Caribbean Style Mac ‘n’ Cheese Mix

A lightly spiced cheese sauce for an easy and delicious Caribbean-style Mac n’ Cheese – tasty comfort food with a twist. Tip: add some breadcrumbs with the cheddar for a crunchy topping.

  1. To prepare 1 x sachet Ainsley Mac n’ Cheese Sauce Mix, you will need: 280g macaroni | 400ml full fat milk | 50g unsalted butter | 80g mild cheddar, grated
  2. Pre-heat oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6
  3. Boil the macaroni in salted water for 8 mins
  4. Meanwhile in a saucepan combine the sauce mix with the milk, bring to the boil stirring continuously then remove from the heat & stir in the butter
  5. Mix the drained pasta with the sauce & transfer to a deep-sided, oven proof dish & spread out evenly
  6. Sprinkle with the cheddar & bake for 25-30 mins until golden brown
