Air Fryer Meatballs in a Spiced Harissa Tomato Sauce

Cooking meatballs in an air fryer is so easy and mess-free and when you add a delicious sauce using an Ainsley Flavour Bomb you’re in for a real treat. Our Harissa Flavour Bomb is packed full of North African spices and flavours and with smoky paprika, red pepper, lemon and tangy sumac it adds a real punch to these moreish meatballs and sauce. Serve with Ainsley Couscous. This recipe also works well with our Ainsley Moroccan Tagine Flavour Bomb.

Method

Put the mince, onion, garlic and 1 teaspoon of the Flavour Bomb paste in a bowl and season well. Mix well with your hands and form into 10-12 meatballs.

Place the meatballs in the air fryer and spray with a little oil (optional). Air fry at 190C for 10 minutes, shaking the tray halfway through and adding in the chopped onion and pepper.

In a jug mix together the remaining Flavour Bomb with 100ml of hot water and then stir in the chopped tomatoes. If using a crisping plate, carefully remove from the air fryer drawer if you prefer and then pour the tomato mixture over the meatballs and vegetables. Cook for another 10-12 minutes until the sauce has heated through, stirring half-way.

Scatter with herbs and feta and serve with Ainsley Moroccan Medley Couscous (or your flavour of choice).

*Our Ainsley Flavour Bombs are available from selected Morrisons Stores.
