Sticky Sweet & Spicy Drumsticks

These chicken drumsticks are sticky and sweet with a kick of flavour from our Hot & Sour Cup Soup. Great for a sharing snack or for lunch/dinner served with couscous or rice and veg.

Method

Put the oil, garlic, runny honey, soy sauce, chilli flakes into a large bowl and empty in the contents of the Ainsley Cup Soup sachet. Mix well. Add the drumsticks and seasoning and toss to coat, rubbing the marinade into the chicken skin. Cover and chill to marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if you have the time.

Cook in an air-fryer* at 200c for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes brush with any remaining marinade and turn over. Cook for a further 10 minutes. Serve straight away.

Alternatively roast in the oven at 200C fan for 30 minutes. Or preheat the BBQ. Cook the chicken over a low-medium heat with the lid closed for 30-40 minutes depending on the size of your drumsticks, turning occasionally, or until cooked through and the juices run clear.

*We used a Ninja Air Fryer on the air fry setting.
